This is going to be taken back to the place where it all began. Some call it the row, I call it home. I lived there for 12 weeks and couldn't have had a better time. We will bring part of our lives from there into your lives here. You will be glad you read, and if we made you curious or made you think we are crazy, then we succeeded. How are we going to do this, you ask? Well, we aren't that worried about it.
Don't worry about anything... Pray about everything. When you can't run with your legs... run with your heart, and the marathon will humble you. -Old Row Pres. Harper Rivers Myres IV
ReplyDeleteYou're right. Im not worrried about it. But I was asked to specifically bring my cynicism. So here it is. This blog makes me laugh. It is pretentious and absurd and not far from our many hours of pointless conversation about girls (which by the way, I've avoided commitment through means that only Les Newson could fathom) or River's moments of staring off into the distant. And like other dreams of traveling together through foreign countries, we will give up on this. No one will ever read this like no one will ever see our documentary (maybe Doug because he's wondering why I'm blogging but probably not because he never saw things as clearly as we who lived on The mountain). I have hope that in the same way that our many front porch conversations led to frustration and annoyance, this will continue to grow us in our friendship. I miss Alpine. I miss Alpine because I miss you guys. I doubt it, but I hear rumors of an adventure again. Maybe instead of 4 there will be 5.
